President William Ruto re-appointed Feisal Abass as the non-executive Chairperson of the Privatization Commission for another three years starting 18th July 2025.
Chief Justice Martha Koome issued an addendum to the Supreme Court Practice Directions. It included updated contact details, new formatting rules for court documents, and required all parties to provide full contact details when filing documents.
New Practice Directions were issued for the Employment and Labour Relations Court. These standardize procedures across the country and include guidelines on e-filing, vulnerable litigants, alternative dispute resolution, virtual hearings, time management, and enforcement of court orders.
The term of the Presidential Taskforce on the Kenya Home of Human Origins Museum and Science Park in Lake Turkana was extended by one month, up to 17th August 2025.
The National Treasury released the County Climate Resilience Investment Grant allocations for 2024/2025. Over KSh. 11.2 billion was shared across counties, funded by the World Bank, German Financial Cooperation, and local contributions. Kakamega, Nandi, and Turkana received some of the highest allocations.
The Cabinet Secretary for Water re-appointed Bernard Kipsengeret Koros, Simon Ngugi Mwihaki, and Rodgers Chepkwony as board members of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority for a three-year term.
Prof. Shem Wandiga was re-appointed as the Chairperson of the Council of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology for three years.
Lewis Nyaribo Oburu was appointed to represent Nyanza and Western Region in the Human Resource Management Council for a three-year term.
The Governor of Kisumu, Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o, appointed Dr. James Obondi Otieno as Chairperson and six others as members of the Kisumu County Public Service Board after approval by the County Assembly.
The Governor of Siaya County, James Orengo, appointed Eng. Collins Gordon O. James as the Chairperson of the Siaya County Public Service Board, effective 4th June 2024.
The Governor of Bomet County, Dr. Hillary Barchok, appointed a board for the Sotik Municipality, with Sigei Kenn Kipkemoi as Chairperson and Chepkoech Nelly as Vice-Chairperson.
The Bomet County Government transferred several functions to the Sotik Municipality. These include road construction, waste management, storm water drainage, animal control, street lighting, fire services, parks, and collection of fees and taxes.
In Kiambu County, Governor Kimani Wamatangi appointed Itobi Newton Bariu as the County Executive Committee Member in charge of Roads, Transport, Public Works, and Utilities.
Multiple provisional land title certificates were announced across counties such as Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Mombasa, and Kilifi. These followed the loss of original documents and will be issued after 60 days if no objections are raised. Whole Gazette Notice HERE
