The Law Society of Kenya’s Nairobi Branch — the largest of the Law Society of Kenya 8 branches — held its elections on Friday, 8th May 2026. The Branch represents approximately 15,000 advocates practicing across Nairobi and Kiambu Counties.
In a sign of the times, the elections were conducted entirely digitally, with members voting from their phones and computers — a contrast to the national LSK elections which are still conducted physically

History shows that the Nairobi Branch Council is a springboard to the highest levels of the legal profession. The current LSK President served as the Branch’s inaugural Chairman. His successor, Helene Namisi, is now a High Court Judge. The current LSK Vice President, Teresia Wavinya Nicholas, also cut her leadership teeth on this very council.
Congratulations to the newly elected council — the legal fraternity watches with great interest!
