Presidential Appointments

President William Ruto appointed new Chancellors for 3 universities: Rita Kavashe (Pwani University) she is currently the Chairperson and Managing Director (strange) of Isuzu East Africa Ltd Limited); Paul Russo CPA (Kibabii University) – he is the Group CEO of KCB Bank and Dr. Kevit Desai the patron of the African Concours D’Elegance (Kabianga University), each for five-year terms.

Key Government Appointments

• Geoffrey K. Maritim appointed Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Employment Authority Board.

•CS William Kabogo named Naiyanoi Ntutu as a board member of the Information and Communication Technology Authority (ICTA) for a three-year term, effective from April 2, 2026, Naiyanoi is the daughter of former Narok Senator Stephen Ole Ntutu, who served between 2013 and 2017, and is also related to Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu. She is the widow of Emurua Dikirr Late MP, Johana Ng’eno.

• New board members appointed to ICT Authority, Communications Authority of Kenya, Women Enterprise Fund, Anti-Female Genital Mutilation Board, and Mineral Rights Board

• Eight members re-appointed to the Lake Basin Development Authority Board

• Hassan Ali Joho (Cabinet Secretary for Mining) and other CS’s signed various appointment notices

Land Matters

The gazette contained an extensive section on land registration, covering provisional certificates, replacement titles, and reconstruction of lost land registers across counties including Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisumu, Kiambu, Mombasa, Machakos, and many others.

SGR Phase 2B & 2C

The National Land Commission published notices for compulsory acquisition of land in Narok and Kisumu Counties for the Naivasha–Kisumu–Malaba Standard Gauge Railway, covering hundreds of parcels.

Elections

The IEBC gazetted aspirants for UDA party primaries in Emurua Dikirr Constituency and ward seats in Samburu West and Marakwet East.

Environmental Impact Assessments

NEMA invited public comments on three major projects: an 18-storey residential development in Westlands, an 18-storey development on Rhapta Road, and the SGR Phases 2B and 2C construction.

Insolvency Matters

Notable insolvency proceedings included a winding-up petition against KUSCCO Limited (Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives), citing liabilities of KSh. 17.7 billion against assets of KSh. 5.2 billion, and liquidation notices for Goodrich Schools Limited and Koko Networks Limited.

Other Notices
