Highlights on the Gazette Notice dated 24th October 2025
  1. President William Ruto appointed Joseph Kirui Limo as the new Chairperson of the Gambling Regulatory Authority for three years starting 24th October 2025.
  2. President Ruto also appointed *Dr. Jane Mwikali Makau as Chairperson of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority for three years.
  3. Ali Wario was appointed as Chairperson of the National Council for Population and Development, replacing Gen. (Rtd.) Julius Waweru Karangi.
  4. The Judicial Service Commission appointed Allan Mola Owinyi as Deputy Chairperson of the Sports Disputes Tribunal until May 2030.
  5. The Commission also appointed Eddie Omondi, Victor Obwaya Omwebu, Aleli Peris Mukoko, Nicodemus Kimanthi Musau, and Luke Wamugunda Irungu as members of the Sports Disputes Tribunal for five years.
  6. Chief Justice Martha Koome announced that the Supreme Court will go on recess from 21st December 2025 to 13th January 2026.
  7. The Chief Justice also established a new Environment and Land Court at Limuru, to start operations on 15th January 2026.
  8. The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Geoffrey Ruku, appointed Emma Wambui Mbugua, Anne Derasso Illo, Fredrick Odumo Nying’uro, and Valarie Angela Akinyi Lomosi to the Board of the Gambling Regulatory Authority for three years.
  9. Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba appointed Prof. Kellen Kathure Kiambati as Chairperson of the TVET Authority Board for four years.
  10. ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo appointed Stephen Ngari Njuki to the Board of the Communications Authority of Kenya for three years.
  11. Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Muuga appointed Innocent Muganda to the Board of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority for three years.
  12. Attorney General Dorcas Oduor appointed Ernest Kamau to the Board of the Business Registration Service.
  13. Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale appointed Edwin Irungu Gikunju to the Kenya Institute of Primate Research Board.
  14. Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir appointed Anne Too to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Board for three years and released an aircraft incident report for plane 5Y-MMB.
  15. The Attorney General revoked the appointment of the Waqf Commission Selection Panel members.
  16. Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education for a joint bursary and scholarship program effective June 2025.
  17. Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu appointed Agnes Keshine Nkaliya to the County Public Service Board and Jane Alice Wangu Chiuri as CEC for Education, Gender, Sports, and Youth.
  18. Tharaka Nithi Governor Onesmus Muthomi Njuki made several appointments to the County Executive Committee, County Public Service Board, and Chief Officers.
  19. West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin formed a 90-day Taskforce to study the establishment of a Constituent University in the county.
  20. Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim appointed members to the Rural Water and Sanitation Company and the Affordable Housing Committee.
  21. The national government and Kajiado County signed a major Deed of Transfer, handing over the management of Amboseli National Park to the County Government of Kajiado.
  22. The Intergovernmental Relations Committee confirmed the official transfer of Amboseli Park’s management functions between the two levels of government.
  23. The Chief Registrar of the Judiciary published a list of 916 new Lawyers who have petitioned for admission as advocates of the High Court of Kenya.
