Highlights from the Kenya Gazette Notice – 11th April 2025
  1. The Chief Justice, Martha Koome formalizes the establishment of a High
    Court Sub-Registry in Wajir County with effect from 15th September 2024.
  2. The Chief Justice, Martha Koome establishes the Environment and Land
    Court sub-registry in Wajir County with effect from 1 st July 2025.
  3. Njeri Onyango, a renowned Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, was re-
    appointed by CS Treasury John Mbadi to the position of Member of Public
    Procurement Administrative Review Board (PPARB) for 3 years
    with effect from 4th April 2025. It is also worth noting that Ms. Njeri Onyango
    is also a member of the Sports Disputes Tribunal.
  4. CS Health, Aden Duale appoints Agnes. A. Ongadi to be a member of the
    Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital Board.
    Previously, Agnes Ongandi had been the Chief Manager, Human Capital &
    Administration of Ketraco but was dismissed after she unilaterally varied a
    board decision and issued a confirmation letter to one Charles Odhiambo
    Oguoko on 5 March 2016 as a permanent and pensionable staff. She filed a
    case though being – Agnes Ongadi v Kenya Electricity Transmission Company
    Limited [2019] KEELRC 2287 (KLR) and the court found that KETRACO had
    overreacted and awarded her 9 months salary as compensation.
  5. The Attorney General, Dorcas Oduor designated 86 persons to be Advocates
    of the Kenya Revenue Authority under Section 10(d) of the Advocates Act
    which section allows the Attorney General to name persons who are public
    officers or working in a public corporation to act as Advocates.
  6. Governor James Orengo appointed 4 Members to Siaya Municipal Board
    under County Governments Act, Urban Areas and Cities Act, and Public
    Appointments County Assemblies Approval Act.
  7. Kakamega Governor, Fernandes Barasa appointed 5 new County Executive
    Committee (CEC) members in charge of trade, finance, Education, Health, one
    Mophat Mandela to Agricultural portfolio.
  8. Multiple Notices on the Issue of Replacement and Provisional Land Titles
    under Land Registration Act (No. 3 of 2012). Covered numerous regions
    including Nairobi, Murang’a, Mombasa, Nyeri, Kisumu, Busia, Kakamega,
    Vihiga, and others. With reconstructions, indemnities, and new title deeds.
