  • President William Ruto appointed Angeline Yiamtion Siparo as a member of the National Police Service Commission for a term of six years.
  • The Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum formed the First Oil Technical, Commercial and Legal Working Committee, a 36-member team chaired by Joseph Otieno, to negotiate and manage Kenya’s first major oil development project in Blocks T6 and TT.
  • The Cabinet Secretary for ICT published drafts of 15 new proposed regulations for the technology and communications sector, covering areas like broadcasting, consumer protection, and internet domains, and invited the public to submit their opinions within 14 days.
  • The National Land Commission reserved a 5.9-hectare piece of public land in Wote, Makueni County, for the Kenya Medical Training College, or KMTC, and set strict conditions for its use and development.
  • The Kenya Revenue Authority, or KRA, published a list of overstayed goods at the Nairobi Inland Container Depot, giving owners 30 days to collect them before they are sold at a public auction in October 2025.
  • The Registrar of Political Parties announced that two new parties, the Restoration Alliance Party, or RAP, and the Citizen Alliance for Democratic Affairs, or CADA, had applied for provisional registration.
  • The United Party of Independent Alliance, or UPIA, officially changed its head office location from Gem Lane, Kileleshwa, to Ramshab Lane, along Ngong Road.
  • The Official Receiver was appointed to manage the liquidation of several companies, including City Taps Kenya Limited and D.T. Dobie and Company (Kenya) Limited, and asked all creditors to come forward.
  • The owners of Kisima Farm announced the closure of several private access roads crossing their property for a 12-hour period on August 28th, 2025.
  • An auctioneer issued a final notice for the owners of three uncollected motor vehicles to collect them within 30 days or have them sold at a public auction.
  • Numerous individuals legally changed their names, including Faith M’edeal Mutua, who is now Faith Jappann M’edeal Mutua, and Ahmed Mohamed Issack, who is now Ahmed Mohamed Gabow.
