  • The Ministry of Mining published new mineral license applications under the Mining Act. The public has 42 days to share their views. The applications cover areas in Siaya, Vihiga Samburu, Kakamega, West Pokot and Homa Bay.
  • The Inspector General declared Kimuchu Police Station in Thika West and Runda Mumwe Police Post in Kiambu East as official police stations. This became effective on 24 July 2025.
  • Under the Advocates Act 245 candidates have applied to be admitted to the Roll of Advocates. The public has 30 days from 1 August 2025 to raise objections with the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary.
  • The Judiciary also announced the appointment of 55 new Commissioners for Oaths. These appointments remain valid so long as the advocates stay in practice and are not removed.
  • Several notices were published on missing or destroyed land title deeds. Affected areas include Nairobi, Kajiado, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, Nyeri, Kisumu, Nakuru, Lamu and Vihiga. New title deeds will be issued if no objection is raised within 60 days.
  • In Kajiado North the Land Registrar moved to cancel a land title under Kenneth Kinuthia Mbuto citing fraud. The land will return to Peter Melita Nakeel after 90 days unless a valid objection is filed.
  • There were also notices on reconstruction of lost land registers and issuing of provisional certificates under section 33 of the Land Registration Act.
  • County governments made important appointments and changes. Lamu County named members of its Municipal Board from 6 May 2025. Bungoma and Vihiga counties reassigned executive members across departments including health education planning infrastructure agriculture trade gender and youth. Read the whole Gazette HERE
