Highlights on Gazette Notice Dated 13th June, 2025

1. President William Samoei Ruto extended the term of the Technical Working Group on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including femicide, from 5th June 2025 to 8th July 2025.

2. President William Samoei Ruto extended the tenure of the Selection Panel for the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights by ten days, as per sections 11(4) and 11(5) of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights Act.

3. The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority debarred Filtronc International Limited from participating in public procurement and asset disposal for three years, effective from 5th March 2025, under the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act.

4. The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration developed draft Public Benefit Organizations Regulations. Public submissions are invited until 25th July 2025, accessible via www.pbora.go.ke.

5. Governor Wilber K. Ottichilo appointed ad hoc committees to consider upgrading Luanda Town and Cheptulu, Kaimosi Town to municipal status under the Urban Areas and Cities Act. The committees include diverse members such as Fredrick Omondi Owito and Elizabeth Wamichiru.

6. Governor Wavinya Ndeti appointed members to the Machakos Environmental Committee under the Environmental Management and Co-ordination (Amendment) Act, 2015, including representatives from various sectors like environment, business, and farming. The term is three years, effective immediately, nullifying Gazette Notice No. 3238 of 2025.

7. Governor Dhadho  Godana appointed Sammy Abio Malibe, Richard Yaro Abiyo, James Mariera Oechanga, and Mohamed B. Suleiman as members of the Hola Municipality Board for five years, effective from 3rd June 2025, under the County Governments Act and Urban Areas and Cities Act.

8. The County Government of Kiambu published the Public Finance Management (Kiambu County Education Bursary Fund) Regulations, 2025, to support education funding.

9. The County Government of Machakos listed revenue collection barriers in Mavoko, Mwala, Kathiani, and Kalama sub-counties, including Joska Barrier and Konza Barrier, and designated all markets and slaughterhouses as revenue collection centres.

10. A new land title deed was issued to Jusas Kimocho Kariuki for a 1.214-hectare parcel in Embu District under the Land Registration Act.
